OlliNewsroom brings news from selected RSS and Atom feeds together on your WordPress website. This page helps administrators configure the plugin, manage articles and find documentation and downloads.

Getting started

  1. Install and activate OlliNewsroom.
  2. Create a WordPress page and add [ollinewsroom] in a Shortcode block.
  3. Select that page under OlliNewsroom → Settings → Newsroom page.
  4. Add your categories and news sources.
  5. Choose your publishing workflow and click Check sources now.
  6. Review the imported content and test the public newsroom page.

To use the newsroom as your homepage, select it under Settings → Reading → A static page.

Start with human review while checking your feeds. Confirm that titles, images, categories and source links display correctly before enabling automatic publication.

OlliNewsroom Free

OlliNewsroom Free provides the core newsroom functionality for websites that want to publish feed-based news without AI processing.

  • Up to 10 news sources.
  • Articles based on content supplied by RSS and Atom feeds.
  • Links to the original sources.
  • Standard OlliNewsroom branding.
  • No OpenAI API key required.

Free is suitable for getting started and testing the newsroom on your website.

OlliNewsroom Pro

OlliNewsroom Pro adds tools for administrators who need more sources, editorial automation and presentation options.

  • Up to 50 news sources.
  • Optional AI rewriting and additional article languages.
  • Automatic publishing with configurable editorial checks.
  • Custom newsroom branding, colors and layout options.
  • Advertising placements.

An active Pro license is required for Pro functionality. OpenAI API usage is billed separately and is not included in the Pro license. Pro can also be used without AI.

Administrator responsibilities

Check source availability and publishing rules regularly. Individual sources can override the general publishing policy.

Publish automatically without review publishes feed content without human review or an AI check. Choose this mode only for sources you intend to publish directly.

Use images only where you have the necessary permission. Back up your website before resetting newsroom content or enabling permanent deletion of older articles.

If you enable News Alerts, configure the delivery timezone and email transport, then test actual receipt. A successful sending result does not guarantee inbox delivery.

The manual explains the backend settings step by step and includes screenshots with sensitive information hidden.
